What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Driver position at Keppel Union School District?
Under the supervision of the Director of Transportation, to operate a school bus over designated routes within an established time schedule; to transport students to and from school and on field trips and/or special events; to perform daily inspections of a bus and transportation equipment, and prepare reports concerning maintenance needs; and to do other related work as required.
Experience : Two (2) years experience driving any motor vehicle; One year of experience in the transport of school children; Completion of a school bus driver training program
Education : High school diploma or equivalent
License and Certificate Requirements: Possession of a valid Class A or B, California Driver License with appropriate endorsements; Possession of a California School Bus Driver’s Certificate; Standard First Aid Certificate; Applicants must have held a valid driver’s license for the past two consecutive years, to date, with no chargeable accidents within that time; Any moving traffic citation during the past ten years will be evaluated and may be considered disqualifying; Must pass State Skills Test and State Written Test
Must meet minimum physical requirements as prescribed by the California Department of Motor Vehicles
Insurance Requirements: Must be able to be insured and continue to be insurable by the District’s liability insurance carrier.
Salary : $25 - $30
