We are currently hiring Overnight Hood Cleaners for overnight shifts. This role is critical in providing fire protection services by delivering high-quality kitchen exhaust cleaning services for restaurants, grocery stores, and other industries requiring commercial cooking. As Hood Cleaners, you will supervise and work alongside a team to ensure customer satisfaction, timely service, and adherence to safety standards.
Schedule: 8pm-8 am
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary team lead for hood cleaning projects, ensuring all tasks are completed to company standards.
- Supervise and assist with on-site installations, repairs, and maintenance of kitchen exhaust systems.
- Provide regularly scheduled hood cleaning services using hot water pressure washing, degreasers, and scrapers.
- Conduct site set-up and tear-down for all equipment and supplies.
- Report NFPA 96 deficiencies in hood systems and ensure proper documentation through reports and photo processes.
- Oversee team adherence to all company safety rules and procedures.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and vehicles provided by the company in excellent condition.
- Act as the main point of contact for customers on-site, providing professional and courteous service.
- Ensure warehouse inventory is organized and accurate.
- Produce timely and detailed service reports and submit them via mobile technology applications.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A valid driver's license with a clean record (required).
- Prior experience in hood cleaning or pressure washing (preferred but not required; training provided).
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Flexible schedule to work overnight and early morning shifts (graveyard position).
- Ability to lift 50-70lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing technical and equipment issues.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Team-oriented and able to mentor and collaborate with others.
- Must pass a criminal background check and DMV record review.
