JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Under the direction of the Vice President of Sales, a United States Manufacturer is seeking a highly skilled individual for the role of Key Account Manager. The Key Account Manager is solely responsible for new revenue generation of assigned accounts while leading the Key Account team to achieve financial targets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develops and cares for assigned customers, focusing on achieving strategic business goals and objectives, while maintaining a close, personal relationship with your contacts. Identify and develop new products and opportunities within key accounts that meet the core competencies of the company, or the strategic directions as defined by the company. Proactively work closely with Inside Sales, Customer Service, and Sales Engineering teams to ensure planned growth models are achieved. Participate in Trade Shows, appropriate customer events, industry conferences, and conventions as needed, with a focus on being a leader in industry and market knowledge. Perform market research. Develops Sales Forecasts and annual Sales Plans and participate in Strategic Planning. Act fiscally and be professionally responsible, holding to the organization's values. Communicating back to internal groups the outcome of the negotiations/proposals focusing on conveying the expectations set forth for each group (e.g., clear details, critical timeframes, and expectations) Educates clients on new technologies available to them. Keeps up with changes in client environments. Understands all the company’s service offerings and communicates them to clients and prospective clients. Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: to, approximately, but not the following are preferred but not required: bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or similar degree of relevance; Three or more years of related experience; experience in sales to OEM customers; Professionalism in presentation and problem-solving skills; and ability to demonstrate strong negotiating skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as shipping documents, invoices, job releases, warranty claim information, sales reports, etc. Ability to prepare reports, presentations, etc. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of data. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or other communication form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Requires a valid driver's license.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Requires good organizational skills and being ability to efficiently handle varied amounts of information. Requires the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
