Summary Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources – Kering Americas, the Director HR Shared Services will lead Kering’s current HR shared services function in the Americas while also driving the regional transformation program to improve service levels, increase efficiencies, and refine the service catalog to align to client needs. Kering’s current HR Shared Services team provides support to Kering Group’s ~5,000 employees in the Americas, across 12 brands, primarily focused on processing HR data transactions and answering employee inquiries about common HR transactions (i.e. payslips and benefits), policies, processes, and tools. The team is comprised of ~15 employees, primarily located in hub offices in US (Wayne NJ), Mexico (Mexico City). The employee population supported by the HR shared services team is predominantly based in retail locations throughout the region (multi-state, multi-company) with high transactional volumes of master-record changes (hires, terminations, job / pay changes), benefits enrolments and life chances, leaves of absence, and frequent pay cycles to comply with local legislation and client requirements. We capture these beliefs in our signature: “Empowering Imagination.” HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE The current scope of HR Shared Services in Americas includes: Payroll, time record, and tax administration (including ex-pat tax support) Payroll accounting activities (escheatment, account reconciliations) Employee master-record and HR document maintenance Unemployment claims and garnishment management Statutory and voluntary benefits enrollments, changes, and benefits-related analysis (billing reconciliations, compliance-related reporting) Leave of absence management (disability, workers compensation, federal and local leave compliance, etc.) Related legal support and guidance to ensure compliance with labor, wage & hour topics on activities executed by HR shared services Maintenance of HR standard templates and tools (offer letters, policies, handbooks) Other HR operational and compliance-related activities, as needed (EEO report filing, work authorizations, etc.) The function acts as an internalized service partner to 12 different client groups (various heads of HR and Finance) where activities managed by the HRSS are governed under separate service level agreements, terms and conditions. The Americas HR Shared Service operates with an aligned model, or “ways of working” with Kering’s global HR shared services framework, working closely with stakeholders in HQ to learn and share best practices, develop and approve project roadmaps, and review budgets and recharges. At a regional level HR shared services teams are expected to demonstrate deep subject-matter knowledge and expertise on HR operations, compliance needs, regionally prevalent technologies and tools, and service-level expectations specific to the countries in which they operate. Essential Functions: Foster a client-focused environment and mindset to ensure delivery of an exceptional employee experience Implement and monitor SLA’s and OLA’s; identify and implement solutions to improve service delivery. Lead a team of managers and individual contributors responsible for providing efficient and accurate HR support to the brand HR Business partners, employees and managers; manage team accountabilities, such as recruitment, onboarding, continuous training, engagement, and performance management. Lead the regional HR Shared Services transformation program for US and Canada, aligned to global standards. This includes: HR Technology – Work with global and local stakeholders to evaluate capabilities of local and global HR tools (current vs. future state) to deliver more efficient and accurate services; identify alternatives and develop business case for new investments. Shared Services Evolution – Align the scope of support provided by the Shared Services team to mirror global standards and adapt to local stakeholder service expansion needs. Build an effective quality assurance program and a culture of continuous improvement. Develop strong partnerships with Regional and Functional HRBPs and other HR COE leaders. Manage budget and costs for ~2M USD related to service execution. Regularly review KPI’s, service level performance metrics, and performance improvement plans with Brand client partners WHO YOU ARE Basic Qualifications 15 years of work experience or more with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) Preferred Qualifications 15 years in related field Demonstrated expertise and knowledge in HR Shared Services and/or HR and Payroll Operations role with expertise in US market (Canada and other markets in Americas a plus) Strong working-knowledge of US compliance and legislative landscape in areas impacting payroll, benefits, and leave administration, and employee data privacy. Advanced project management skills and experience managing large, HR technology and mindset change transformation projects Proven ability to make judgment calls and sound, ethical decisions displaying a heightened level of responsibility, confidentiality, integrity and professionalism Strong attention to detail and high work standards in support of accurate, flawless delivery Superior client service and interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication Ability to operate collaboratively Additional Information Travel Requirement: This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 10% of the time; may vary based on location. Mental/Physical Requirements This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
