What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prevention Services Facilitator - School Community Partnerships (SCP) (Open) position at Kern County Superintendent of Schools?
Under general supervision, the Prevention Services Facilitator - SCP will help design and implement key prevention services in partnership with local policy-makers, organizations, and districts to benefit school climate and student outcome. Experience:
Four (4) years of experience in relevant prevention, positive school climate, social service, behavioral interventions, or community based activities, including direct with school/districts staff and administrators;
experience working with at-promise youth and an understanding of the needs of transforming school climate and intervention strategies desired;
experience in successful grant writing and grant implementation, contracting oversight and evaluation/data collection activities desired;
experience in outreach and marketing (including public relations) and the facilitation of community events;
experience in implementing community change utilizing social marketing;
experience in facilitating and the coordination of large projects with multiple partners.
Education:
B.A., B.S. in education, behavioral sciences, communications, social work, social sciences, public administration or related field of study.
This position is funded through 2026. Continuation of this position is dependent on MHSSA funding.
