What are the responsibilities and job description for the KCERA Deputy Director of Compliance position at Kern County?
Examinations:
Appraisal (Weight 100%): Will be conducted for the purpose of evaluating the applicant's training, education, experience, interest and personal fitness for the position. Appraisal can be based on any of the following: Investigation, oral exam and/or rating of the application.
Should an oral examination be necessary, the oral examination will be weighted at 100%.
Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the examination process.
Minimum Qualifications / Employment Standards:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a closely related field and two (2) years of experience overseeing fiscal compliance programs, including establishing organizational policies, procedures and strategies, in a complex financial environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to obtain the knowledge and skill to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Experience in pension administration, Governmental Accounting Standards and investment.
