Lateral Transfer Opportunity - This is a transfer opportunity restricted to permanent employees of the County of Kern who have successfully completed their initial probationary period and are currently classified as a Technical Support Specialist II.
OR
Completion of an accredited trade or vocational school training program in computer repair, computer science or information systems; And (one) year of experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of enterprise computer systems, equipment, mobile devise and other technical systems
OR
Two (2) years paid full time experience providing user support in the installation, repair, and maintenance of enterprise computer systems, equipment, mobile devices, equipment and other technical systems.
OR
One (1) year experience as a Technical Support Specialist I in the Kern County classification system.
Qualifying experience must have been within the last five (5) years.
Applicants must possess the physical capacity to perform all essential tasks.
A valid Class "C" California Driver's License is required at the time of appointment.

Minimum Qualifications / Employment Standards
High School Diploma, G.E.D. and completion of thirty (30) semester or forty-five (45) quarter units from an accredited college or university with course work in computer science or information systems; And (one) year of experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of enterprise computer systems, equipment, mobile devise and other technical systemsOR
