MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect parts per inspection plan and control plan guidelines
- Oil dip springs as required
- Spin parts as required
- Pack springs as required
- Operator is responsible for all quality aspects of the product
- Continuously verifies adherence to quality specifications, using calipers, micrometers, gauges, load test, and optical equipment.
- Records data on production and Quality Control records and performs S.P.C. procedures.
- Operator is responsible to operate as many machines as possible without neglecting the safety of the employee or the product quality
- Must operate machine at approved machine cycle and productivity requirements.
- These requirements may be subject to change due to organizational restructuring.
- Operators will work closely with Engineering on a ongoing basis.
- Compliance with all Safety, TS 16949 and ISO 9000 requirements
- Must follow all policies regarding environmental, health and safety while striving towards minimizing energy and material use.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must have (1-3) one-three years experience in machine operation and the use of SPC and precision gauges. Knowledge of CNC machines, operation and print reading.
- Strong math skills.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of 5s
- Valid drivers license
- Able to operate a fork lift and pallet jack
- Minimum 1 year working experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to stand, walk and bend for most of the shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Some climbing, crawling and/or kneeling may be required
This position pays $21.17/hr plus the chance to make an additional 8% weekly incentive & 2% attendance incentive each week bringing the pay to $23.28/hr. This is a union position for our afternoon shift 3:15 pm - 11:45 pm.
