Description
Kern Regional Center is one of 21 private, non-profit regional centers contracted by the State of California through the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to coordinate community-based services and support for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Kern Regional Center services over 10,000 individuals in Kern, Inyo and Mono Counties. Our counties cover approximately 22,000 square miles with a population of over 945,000 people.
The Program Evaluator is responsible for the coordination of activities related to Medicare and Medicaid Services, providing outreach and trainings to existing services, facilitating completion of provider self-assessments. They will work collaboratively and identify changes in existing programs, collect and maintain data regarding HCBS final rule activities, and evaluate proposals. This individual will stay abreast of unmet service needs or additional service development that may be required and assist in resource development.
Requirements
- BA in social work, psychology or a related field.
- One year of experience in developmental disabilities or a related field, or field placement at KRC as part of education program.
- KRC case management and/or provider experience is highly preferred.
- Possession of a valid California Driver’s License and State automobile insurance, and acceptable driving record substantiated by a DMV printout.
- Full use of automobile or ability to provide for independent transportation.
- Must be able to drive to various sites as assigned on a daily basis.

Salary range for this position $24.16 to $34.00 per hour
Starting salary range $24.16 to $26.64 per hour
