What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Technician position at Kern Valley Health District?
Position Details
Performs a variety of patient food services and dish duties, as well as other related duties.
Duties can include but not limited to: organizing tray cards, working on the assembly of tray line meals, communicating diet food concerns to the dietitian, preparing cold food items, working in the café, stocking food and non-food items, cleaning duties within the kitchen, clean and sanitize all dishes etc., operating kitchen equipment, and checking dietary service requests.
High school graduate or equivalent required. Hospital or food service experience preferred. Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbal and written. Frequently fast paced environment requires ability to handle stress and always interface professionally, tactfully and respectfully with staff, patients and general public.
Salary : $18 - $26
