We are currently seeking a patient-focused individual for a Assistant Lab Supervisor position within our Laboratory Department. The Assistant Lab Supervisor is responsible for assisting in directing the overall activities of the laboratory at all Clinic sites and ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.
All candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology Science or related field. Three years laboratory supervisory experience in a clinical laboratory setting. Certification as a Medical Technologist by a nationally recognized agency/board is recommended. BLS certification required.

Duties Include, but not limited to the following:
- Demonstrates and / or describes the correct action in response to Clinic Emergency Codes and building evacuation. Complies with OSHA, Infection Control, and Safety policies including proper use of personal protective equipment, handling and disposing of infectious or hazardous materials. Possesses a working knowledge of JCAHO and other regulatory requirements, in addition to maintaining readiness.
- Maintain current SDS documents and review them for hazards. Conduct safety inspections. Investigates safety issues and follow up with staff.
- Actively participates in the financial management of the laboratory.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge and basic understanding of Performance Evaluations process. Effectively and efficiently evaluates staff members.
- Coordinates the training program for new and existing laboratory employees and performs annual competency evaluations. Ensures documentation is complete. Serves as a resource for employees and students.
- Ensures that all remedial actions are taken and documented when test systems deviate from established performance specifications. Ensures patient results are not reported until test system is functioning properly.
