Kernodle Clinic is a multi-specialty practice with approximately 70 Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers located just off I-40/I-85. Burlington is accessible as a day trip to NC mountains and beaches. Ample recreational activities, shopping, and easy access to metros (Greensboro, Raleigh and Durham) are unique to Burlington.
We are currently seeking a qualified individual for a Clinical Social Worker position within Kernodle Clinic. The position primarily responsible for providing professional social work care for patients in accordance with the medical and social work plans of care and established policies and procedures. Provides social work services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the social work as defined by the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board.
All candidates must have a Master's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work. EPIC experience not required, but a preferred plus. BLS certification required. Two year of post internship social work experience in a health care setting or social service agency. Two years recent post master's experience in a clinical setting preferred. Five years post master's experience in a health care or social service agency. Experience in leadership and supervising.

- Provide psychosocial assessments of patients and families to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and problems related to their diagnosis, illness, treatment, and/or life situation.
- Formulate, develop, and implement a comprehensive psychosocial treatment plan utilizing appropriate clinical social work treatments and interventions.
- Interventions may include crisis intervention, brief and long-term individual, marital, family and/or group therapies as well as grief and bereavement work.
- Screen, identify, diagnose using nomenclature, treat and manage mental health and/or substance abuse problems in patients and family members.
- Participate in regular conferences; keep current with social work and health care developments and seek to increase further enhancement of job related knowledge.
- Assist with screening, identification, diagnosis, management and treatment of victims of abuse, neglect, domestic violence, rape, etc.
