Water Truck Driver/Laborer
Kerr Contractors has an immediate opening for a Water Truck Operator. This position is primarily responsible for the loading and hauling of water to designated areas, and spraying materials for compaction and roadways for dust control.
Required License: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Tanker Endorsement CDL B -Tanker Endorsement: can transport various liquids and gases, such as gasoline, diesel fuel, chemicals, and liquid food products, in bulk quantities)
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Loading and hauling of water to designated areas, and spraying materials for compaction and roadways for dust.
- Operate the Water Truck and other equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Perform proper pre and post-trip inspections, as well as daily maintenance.
- Perform proper machine start-up, operation, and shutdown.
- Operate safely and efficiently.
- Fill the truck tank with water
- Spray water in designated areas
- Monitor vehicle performance, fluid levels, and mechanical fitness.
- Must be willing to perform other construction-related duties as required.
- Comply with the Company Code of Ethics
- Attends mandatory staff meetings.
- Being a safe and courteous driver
Qualifications
- Must have valid Class "B" CDL (Tanker Endorsement)
- Must have a valid/clean driver's record
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and have a current medical card.
- Must submit to a background screening
- Good attitude and be willing to stay until the job is done.
- Must be willing to perform laborer duties as needed.
- Must have reliable transportation to work
