Where You'll Work:
Our Owatonna, MN location is part of our Dry Beverage Division specializes in agglomeration and/or coating of nutraceuticals and functional food ingredients in some of your favorite dietary supplements and drinks! The site has approximately 50 employees that contribute to our involvement in product formulations, ingredient processing and particle coating solutions within the food and beverage and nutraceutical ingredient industries. What You'll Do:
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring that raw materials, blended formulas and finished goods meet or exceed quality standards established by the company and Kerry customers. This position will verify conformity through measurement and assessment. All data points are to be collected and entered into computer systems, primarily SAP. The role of QA technician requires sound judgement to make rational decisions pertaining to recommended adjustments, corrective actions, and disposition of goods. Success in this position requires fast paced performance in a team environment and interpersonal skills.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- High School Diploma/GED with 2 – 4 years of experience in food manufacturing environment.
- BS/BA in a food related field, or a two-year laboratory technician degree or certificate and 2 years of experience in a food laboratory or food plant setting.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Knowledge or experience of FDA, Local, State, Federal regulations pertinent for the manufacturing facility.
- Former training in HACCP and ability to effectively train essential plant employees in HACCP principles and SQF principles preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Knowledge and ability of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to coach production employees regarding test results and maintaining product within preestablished product specification.
- Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
