Where will you work?
Our Norwich, NY location is part of our Foundational Technologies Division and one of our specialty sites that creates proteins, lactose, coatings, and flavors. The location lies within Chenango County and is advantageously located within a 50-mile radius of the major cities of Binghamton, Syracuse, Utica, Cooperstown and Oneonta.
What will you do?
- Custodian of the customer and business rules to ensure optimal supply to markets and customers. Actively manage the customer service department to meet customer’s needs
- Creation of a “doable” and monthly rolling supply chain plan of what we are going to sell, hold in stock and production capacity for the site. Communicate this to the business as often as needed, together with the supply chain implications of the plan.
- Set stock levels for finished products, including minimum inventory levels, batch sizes and frequency of manufacture in agreement with supply chain and production colleagues.
- Set stock levels for bought in raw materials stocks and ensure call off on time to meet production requirements in agreement with purchasing business rules.
- Minimize the total costs of supply to include stockholding costs, write offs and delivery costs to customers.
- Coordinate and influence sales and operational planning activities, including the chairing of monthly meetings to reduce and maintain a live portfolio of products, obtain clarity of new product launch dates, volumes and rules, get slow moving stock sold and negotiating with internal departments to increase stock velocity.
- Ensure that operations are scheduled on time to meet customer’s requirements and achieve a balance between responsiveness and stability.
- Maintain Promix parameters to ensure accurate scheduling of production and optimization of raw material stocks.
- Ensure clear and efficient communication within all areas. Drive cost and stock reduction programs. Take charge of supply chain projects from launch through to completion.
- Control departmental staff and develop departmental short term key issues and ensure they are monitored on a regular basis. Ensure that training needs are identified, assessed and actioned at all levels to generate optimum efficiency and performance.
- Report customer service and other supply chain metrics such as cost, inventory turns etc, root cause non-compliance and work with senior management to ensure target customer service levels are attained, maintained as defined by the needs of the business and continually improved to raise levels of service.
- Ensure that relevant health and safety, and food hygiene and safety standards are maintained at all times within each department.
- As a member of the Operations Management team, to participate and contribute as necessary in the successful development of the site.
What will you need to be successful?
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field required. Additional certifications in APICS is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years experience in Supply Chain management within a food / pharma manufacturing setting (highly desired).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
- People leadership & management skills.
Compensation Data
The typical hiring range for this role is $107,757 to $163,112 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).

Salary : $107,757 - $163,112
