Summary of Position

This role operates as a liaison between the company and the growing community to produce the highest quality of raw product to support production goals. Meets goals through continuous monitoring of crops in the field and storage, assessing and recommending water and insect controls, forecasting crop quality during the growing and storage season, and negotiating contracts with growers. Interacts with industry and university researchers to evaluate continuous improvement in crop production. Coordinates planting, harvesting, sampling, and transportation schedules with interaction between field personnel and grower. Works very independently at the highest level.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

· Evaluates crop

· Advises growers

· Negotiates contracts with growers regarding pricing, transportation, and harvesting.

· Develop effective working relationships with growers, warehouse, sales and industry partners.

· Actively participates with industry events

Qualifications

· Experience in Agricultural Industry (Apples, Cherries, Pears preferred)

· Bilingual, English/Spanish (preferred but not required)

· Pesticide Applicators License (If don’t have must be willing/able to attain)

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Interpersonal problem-solving skills.

· Passion and determination to succeed

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

· Minimum of two years of related work experience

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Schedule

Monday through Friday weekends during peak seasonal needs.

Ability to travel up to 80% in assigned truck

Location

Yakima Washington (Home Base) may include farms as far as Adams, Grant, Franklin, Benton Franklin, Chelan, Okanogan and Kittitas Counties (Canadian Boarder to Oregon Boarder)

Hourly Wages, $80,000-$150,000 (Depending on experience and history)
