Kai USA, the manufacturer of Kershaw Knives and Zero Tolerance Knives in Tualatin, Oregon, continues to grow and has an immediate need for a Customer Service Rep.
- Day Shift: Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm: Pay $20 -$22 per hour depending on experience
In a fast-paced manufacturing environment, the Warranty Customer Service Rep will be responsible for communication between sales, customers and logistics, working both in a team environment and in managing independent projects.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties Summary:
- Processing packages throughout the shift
- Evaluate and process knives sent for sharpening/repair.
- Data Entry: Enter customer information, repair instructions, process payments
- Inspect knives for quality after servicing. Must be detail oriented and understand quality standards
- Verify, and enter data the input and output of knives received on a day to day basis
- Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
- Perform all other job duties as assigned

Education and /or Experience
The qualified employee will have 1-2 years of exceptional customer service experience and inventory processing experience.
Work experience &Skills
- Ability to work independently
- Attention to detail is imperative for success
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, other office procedures and terminology
- Capacity to read and follow directions thoroughly
- The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer) and hand dexterity is needed for working with small parts
- Excellent written/ verbal communication as well as presentation skills at all levels
- Using computers and computer systems to enter data, or process information.
- Must have basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office
- High energy, motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
