Kai USA Ltd., manufacturer of Kershaw Knives and Zero Tolerance Knives in Tualatin, has immediate openings for a Janitor.
We are seeking to hire a full-time janitor that is able to work independently and with minimal supervision. Attention to detail and a positive attitude are a must. The right person is punctual, thorough but fast, and eager to learn. As a Janitor, you will be essential in maintaining a clean and safe environment within our facilities. You will have a consistent schedule and great benefits
Day Shift (Monday-Thursday; 6am – 3:30pm, Friday 6am - 10am)
$19 -$22 per hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities / Primary Functions:
- Follows and completes janitorial assignments and checklists for each building (daily on some, rotational schedule based on buildings/sections) to ensure the highest level of janitorial service is provided.
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms, kitchens, conference rooms, office and other common areas
- Clean windows/mirrors
- Clean building floors by: sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, and vacuuming
- Dusting furniture and fixtures
- Basic household maintenance such unclogging sinks, toilets
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles, replace liners, keep these areas clean
- Maintaining litter free parking lot and grounds
- Ensures that all site janitorial closets are maintained in a neat and orderly manner – stocked, organized, clean, all chemicals are properly labelled, and equipment is in working condition
- Forklift operation
- Other duties as assigned
Key Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bilingual Preferred (English & Spanish)
- 2 years of Janitorial experience required.
- Prefer forklift experience or willingness to learn
- Knowledge of custodial practices, procedures, techniques, and safety requirements
- Ability use a ladder/step stool as needed
- Ability to follow verbal directions and to follow all safety and operational procedures
- Ability to work well independently
- Must demonstrate ability to plan, organize, execute and obtain objectives with minimal directions.
- Attention to detail when cleaning
