What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Kershaw Knives?
Kai USA Ltd., manufacturer of Kershaw Knives and Zero Tolerance Knives in Tualatin, has immediate openings for a Material Handler.
Material Handlers are needed for Day Shift (Mon-Thurs; 6 am – 4:30 pm)
$18 -$20 per hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities / Primary Functions:
Support production by transporting and maintain inventory of the parts they consume.
- Load and unload materials using hand carts or pallet jack
- Process inbound materials from production jobs
- Complete required paperwork and data entry
- Pull raw material as directed
- Assist inventory in cycle counts and reconciliations using Microsoft Excel and MRP software
- Assist other department as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Key Requirements/Qualifications
- The qualified employee will have at least 1 year warehouse experience with material handling, shipping, receiving, inventory control.
- Computer literacy. Preferred experience with Microsoft Excel
- Preferred forklift experience
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or verbal instructions. Must have ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
