Position Overview: As a Calibration Technician in our CNC Machine Service Company, you will play a critical role in ensuring the precision and accuracy of our customer's CNC machines. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and calibrating equipment to meet industry standards and optimize machine performance. You will work within the Entrepreneurial Operating System™ (EOS®) framework to achieve our company's goals and objectives.

Job Description: As a Field Calibration Technician at KES, you will:

  • Perform routine calibration and maintenance tasks on CNC machines to ensure they operate within specified tolerances.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify and address any issues related to machine calibration, alignment,and functionality.
  • Keep accurate records of calibration procedures and equipment maintenance to comply with industry regulations and quality standards.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in CNC machines, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems.
  • Implement effective solutions to resolve calibration and performance issues promptly, minimizing downtime and optimizing machine efficiency.
  • Conduct precision tests and measurements to verify the accuracy of CNC machine tools.
  • Ensure that all CNC machines meet or exceed industry standards and customer specifications for precision and quality.
  • Perform calibrations to ISO 17025 standards.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of calibration procedures, inspection reports, and maintenance activities.
  • Generate comprehensive calibration and maintenance reports for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the EOS® system to track and communicate progress on calibration projects and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the customer to coordinate calibration schedules and prioritize tasks based on customer demands.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain calibration processes, results, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify up selling and cross-selling opportunities based on customer needs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to contribute to the continuous improvement of calibration processes and adherence to EOS® principles.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in CNC Machinery preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Calibration Technician or similar role, with at least 3 years of experience in Machine calibration and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machine operations and the ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, including a strong command of essential software applications such as Microsoft Excel, and the ability to adapt to new technologies, is a fundamental requirement for this position.
  • Proficiency in using calibration tools and equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and precision gauges.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid drivers license
  • Familiarity with Entrepreneurial Operating System™ (EOS®) principles is a plus but not required.
  • Due to DOD contracts, candidates will be required to have a clean background check and drug screen prior to employment.

Travel: This position requires frequent travel. The successful candidate will be expected to travel, which may include overnight and weekend stays, to meet with clients, attend conferences, and represent the company at various events. Travel expenses will be compensated in accordance with company policy. A valid passport and the ability to obtain necessary visas are essential for this role.
