The district is situated between the beautiful Letchworth and Stony Brook State parks. There are two campuses; the Dalton Campus has one elementary (grades Prek-4), and the Nunda Campus has one middle school (grades 5-8) and one high school (grades 9-12).

Position Overview:

Keshequa Central School is currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic School Psychologist for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive environment and contributing to the overall academic and social-emotional success of our students. You will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school leaders to develop comprehensive plans and strategies that enhance students' academic performance and social-emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results for students and participate in IEP conferences, team meetings, and problem-solving meetings.

2. Provide individual and group counseling per IEP requirements.

3. Facilitate some Student Support Team, 504, IEP, and problem-solving meetings.

4. Lead crisis intervention efforts and provide insight into the development of functional assessments and behavior intervention plans.

5. Integrate psychological services into the classroom environment as appropriate.

6. Assist staff in the design and implementation of appropriate interventions and accommodations for students.

7. Evaluate and/or translate research into practice and understand research design and statistics in sufficient depth to plan and conduct investigations and program evaluations for the improvement of services.

8. Contribute to program development that furthers the integration of social skills, coping skills, and problem-solving in the classroom.

9. Provide support services to parents/guardians as needed.

10. Coordinate and/or collaborate with a range of individuals/agencies to promote and provide comprehensive services to students and families.

11. Provide and/or assist in professional development for staff, parents, and/or community.

12. Participate in professional growth activities yearly

13. Proficiently use technology to communicate, compile reports, and collect data.

14. Participate in building or program activities and meetings as appropriate.


Job Qualifications


Qualifications:

1. Valid New York State Certificate in School Psychology

2. Knowledge of methods of assessment; systematic processes to collect data, translate assessment results into empirically-based decisions about service delivery, and evaluate outcomes of services.

3. Knowledge of learning processes, appropriate instructional interventions to meet students’ needs, and the ability to implement and assess their effectiveness.

4. Knowledge of behavioral mental health, collaborative and/or consultation models and methods, and their application.

Experience:

Experience as a School Psychologist is preferred but not required.
