What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meteorologist position at KESQ TV?
KION-TV in Monterey-Salinas-Santa Cruz is looking for a full-time morning Meteorologist.
The morning meteorologist is responsible for producing and anchoring live weather forecasts for Wake Up, 5 a.m.-7 a.m., using the forecasting and graphics system Baron.
We are looking for a someone with a great personality and attitude who is passionate about the weather. Someone who can deliver accurate forecasts using clear and conversational language that will connect with our viewers. The ideal candidate embraces social media and knows how to use lifestyle graphics, and the hand tracker to tell a clear, concise, and interesting weather story.
The morning meteorologist also makes public appearances on behalf of the station, so ability to work a flexible schedule is required.

Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in meteorology and two years of television broadcasting experience is preferred. Candidate must pass a drug test and background check. A valid driver’s license is required.
Pay range for this role is: $44,000 to $54,000 depending on experience.
