- Cross-Training: Train on all deli stations, including slicing, wrapping, packaging, customer service, and food preparation.
- Back-Up Support: Provide support across various deli stations, stepping in as a back-up when needed due to staffing shortages, breaks, or high demand periods.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly, efficient service to customers, including taking orders, answering questions about products, and assisting with special requests.
- Food Preparation: Prepare deli meats, cheeses, salads, and other products according to established standards and customer specifications.
- Quality Control: Ensure that products are consistently fresh, accurately portioned, and displayed according to company guidelines.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of deli products, ingredients, and preparation methods to assist customers effectively.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other deli team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
- Inventory Support: Assist with inventory tracking, stock replenishment, and product rotation to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Adaptability: Quickly adapt to different tasks or stations within the deli as needed to support team members and maintain productivity.
- Previous experience in a deli or food service environment preferred, but not required.
- Ability to learn and perform various tasks across multiple deli stations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
