We are seeking a friendly, efficient, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. This position is key in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately, and maintaining a clean and welcoming front-end environment.

Position Responsibilities:

• Cleaning: Maintain a clean and organized cashier lane throughout the shift, ensuring it is ready for customers at all times.
• Fast & Friendly Service: Provide speedy, friendly, and helpful service to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Greeting & Thanking: Greet customers with a warm welcome, ask if they found everything they were looking for, and thank them for their purchase as they complete their transaction. Offer assistance with parcels or loyalty programs, including fuel perks cards.
• Price Accuracy: Ensure that all items are priced correctly at the point of sale (POS), providing an accurate and seamless transaction experience for customers.
• Drawer Accuracy: Maintain a balanced cash drawer and ensure all transactions are completed accurately. Count back change to customers and follow cash-handling guidelines.
• Outgoing & Engaging: Be approachable, friendly, and engaging with customers, creating a positive atmosphere at the register. As the face of the Customer Care department, demonstrate a passion for helping others.
• Program Expert: Stay knowledgeable about company programs such as fuel perks, vouchers, coupons, and special promotions (e.g., triple coupon Sundays). Properly apply and explain these programs to customers.
• Transaction Expertise: Efficiently handle various forms of payment, including cash, checks, charge accounts, vouchers, credit cards, WIC, and EBT. Ensure smooth, accurate, and secure transactions for all customers.
• Making and Distributing Tills: Ensure accuracy of count for tills before distribution for store opening. 

Qualifications:

• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail in cash handling.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
• Strong knowledge of store programs and promotions, or a willingness to learn.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate weights 50 lbs. 
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
