In addition, our Pharmacy Technicians work closely with our team of Pharmacists to help prepare and give out prescription medications and process insurance claims.

Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Dispensing: Accurately assist in preparation and dispensing of prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring adherence to all safety and legal guidelines.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries regarding medications, dosages, and side effects in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Prescription Processing: Assist in processing prescriptions, verifying patient information, and inputting data into the pharmacy’s system.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels of medications and pharmaceutical supplies, ensuring stock is well-organized, and reorder items as needed.
- Medication Preparation: Prepare medication labels, prescription vials, and packaging, ensuring accuracy and compliance with pharmacy protocols.
- Insurance and Billing Support: Assist with insurance verifications and claims processing to ensure timely billing and reimbursement.
- Regulatory Compliance: Comply with all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations, including maintaining patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and other staff members to ensure smooth daily operations of the pharmacy.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Pharmacy Technician certification preferred (e.g., PTCB or NHA certification).
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing and record-keeping.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and basic medication names and dosages is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
