Summary Overview
The Facility Warehouse Manager completes various management, organization, and planning tasks to maintain high performance of the warehouse storage and shipment processes. The Facility Warehouse Manager oversees all activities of the facility, which involves overseeing team performance, expediting the receiving and shipping, and ensuring efficient, organized storage. This role will report directly to the VP of Operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership:
· Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment
· Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
· Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads
· Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
· Work closely with sales team to ensure orders are correct and Sales is notified of issues with orders
Employee Engagement:
· Ability to motivate staff to drive results and measure accountability through progressive disciplinary action
· Recruit, select, orient, and coach employees
· Ensure the safety of staff by leading daily safety meetings and ensure employees follow Safety and SOP Procedures
· Train new employees on how to use machinery and monitor compliance with safety standards
· Ability to assist employees on the warehouse floor as needed to pick orders and unload containers
Process, Policy, & Procedure:
· Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse
· Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
· Implement, initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
· Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system, and setup layout to ensure efficient space utilization
· Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
· Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner
· Implement and oversee security operations
· Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
· Ensure effective and safe use of warehouse equipment
· Maintain documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities
· Maintain awareness and knowledge of the condition and location of fleet vehicles
· Schedule all deliveries and pickup from carrier and customer
· Complete weekly and monthly Safety Facility inspections

· Ability to manage staff including the capability to set goals, motivate and manage conflict
· Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, multitasking, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities
· Great interpersonal and communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening
· Exceptional time management and organization
· In-depth understanding of company best practices for the warehouse
Role Requirements
· Familiarity with inventory control practices and logistics
· Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
· Physical strength, stamina, and the ability to occasionally lift and/or move moderate-heavy (up to 70lbs) materials, climb, walk, or stand for long periods of time
· Ability to handle pressure in a fast paced environment while maintaining professional composure
· Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager
· Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
· Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
· Hands on experience with warehouse management software, databases, and other organizational computer applications
· Forklift Experience and ability to operate vehicle safely and effectively
· Proficient computer skills
· Available to work extended hours
· High school Diploma or GED
· Minimum 2 years of supervisor or manager experience
· Background in plumbing industry- preferred
· College Degree - preferred
