Position Overview :
As a Network Engineer on the Infrastructure team, you'll be responsible for implementing, managing, and overseeing the internal, local, wireless, wide area data, and voice networks within our production sites. Your goal will be to ensure maximum system uptime, assist in designing network configurations, and align these systems with our technology vision. This role involves maintaining and upgrading existing networks, documenting processes, and installing new network systems while monitoring current performance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design system configurations, direct installations, and define, document, and enforce system standards to establish a robust networking environment.
- Implement new solutions and enhance the resilience of the current network, providing essential support for switches and routers, including configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Optimize network performance through performance monitoring, problem-solving, scheduling upgrades, and working with partners on network optimization.
- Support wireless communication devices, including wireless access points, laptops, handhelds, voice pick phones, printers, and warehouse devices.
- Collaborate with internal and external security teams to secure all network systems, establish and enforce security policies, and monitor access, including timely software and firmware upgrades.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all network devices and manage the distribution of equipment to necessary sites.
- Keep documentation on processes, procedures, and infrastructure up to date and accurate.
- Efficiently process and prioritize work requests and escalations.
Qualifications :
Preferred experience with Layer 1 technologies (e.g., Cabling, Fiber - both single-mode and multi-mode).
