As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Kestra Financial, you'll play a critical role in generating new business by identifying and engaging prospective financial advisor firms. You will create activity in our sales funnel's early and intermediate stages and develop leads for our internal and external recruiters to close. Your main goal will be to schedule meetings for our Business Development (BD) team by effectively sourcing leads, following up on Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs), and progressing prospects through our sales funnel. This high-energy, high-activity role directly supports firm growth and plays a vital part in filling the pipeline with quality opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Internal applicants must be in good standing and have a minimum of 1 year of service with Kestra. Internal applicants must also have a minimum of 1 year service in current role unless approved by EVP.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Relentlessly cold-call prospects with intensity and purpose to generate interest and build awareness of Kestra Financial.
- Quickly and consistently follow up with marketing-qualified leads, warm-calling with urgency to convert interest into scheduled meetings for internal recruiters.
- Drive scheduling efforts—Own the coordination of meetings and demos with prospects for the Internal BD team, ensuring fast and seamless follow-through.
- Ensure smooth transitions and hand-offs to BD representatives by providing comprehensive background information on each lead.
- Research target and competitor accounts, monitor them for news of material changes, and build overall account knowledge.
- Document all activities in Kestra Financial's CRM (Salesforce).
- Develop our outbound prospects lists.
- Qualify leads and set appointments.
- Utilize CRM tools to track and manage leads, ensuring timely follow-ups and proper lead nurturing.
- Research target markets and industry trends to identify potential business opportunities.
- Monitor and report on lead status and pipeline progress to management.
- Proven ability to identify, attract, and engage high-quality prospects focusing on conversion and long-term relationship building.
- High energy, self-motivated, and goal-oriented, with a proven ability to generate interest and drive pipeline growth.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences.
- Strong active listening and analytical thinking capabilities to uncover prospect needs and align them with Kestra's value proposition.
- Demonstrated excellence in time management, organization, and pipeline prioritization.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally in a team-oriented culture.
- Experience in B2B financial services is considered an asset.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven experience (2 years) as a Sales Development Representative or in a similar role.
- FINRA Series 7 or combination of FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses is considered an asset.
- The position is located in the Austin, Texas, office. Four days a week onsite, one day remote (Friday).
- Ability to sit at a computer for long periods in a well-lit office environment.
