What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wise & Well Educator position at Keswick Multicare Inc?
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Deliver evidenced-based programs, health, fitness and wellness classes and activities (in-person, virtually, and at off-site locations.
- Seek out education partners, and/or vendors to implement new health promotion/wellness courses, programs, and initiatives that align with Keswick’s mission, vision, and values to support the development of new and expanded program offerings through Wise & Well and community partners.
- Serves as a liaison for off-site programming, supporting Keswick’s relationships with off-site staff, recruitment efforts, local details, coordination, and implementation of programs at off-site location.
- Support the collection of data from multiple platforms to help measure need and outcomes, maintain dashboard for W&W.
- Support all aspects of program monitoring and evaluation, including data collection, tracking, coding, and reporting as determined by the Director Education & Engagement.
- Supports the Director by conducting research and information searches on specific queries.
- Collaborate with team members to craft and disseminate content to be used for social media, internal and external communications, outreach efforts, partnership initiatives and related community-based work.
- Raise awareness about Keswick through participation in community outreach events as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of adult learner and ability to teach students of diverse abilities and backgrounds
- Knowledge of and experience in program development.
- Experience facilitating evidenced-based programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong proofreading skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including demonstrated experience with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity and composure.
- Possess strong facilitation skills.
- Proven, superior organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize work in a complex, multi-tasking environment.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines and to work independently as well as in a team.
- Have a strong desire to work with people from a broad range of backgrounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with individuals of different ages, ability levels, and diverse audiences.
- Ability to work some evening and weekend hours is a must.
- Valid driver's license and reliable access to an insured vehicle.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Personal Training Certification (ACSM, NASM, NFPT, AFAA) (preferred)
- Other certifications may be considered with an accompanying degree in kinesiology, exercise physiology, exercise science or health sciences.
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
WORK ORIENTATION & EXPERIENCE
Experience as a teacher/facilitator/coach (required).
Experience working with and creating exercise prescriptions for older adults (preferred).
Experience teaching group exercise classes (preferred).
Experience working independently in a fitness environment (preferred).
