Ketchie Inc., a Concord, North Carolina full-service precision CNC machine shop providing supply solutions for government and commercial customers in various industries including Rail, Agriculture, Textile, Heavy Machinery, Industrial Equipment, and many specialized OEM’s. Ketchie Inc. is an ISO certified facility with capabilities include precision turning, milling, broaching, gear cutting and grinding.

**Key Job Functions and Responsibilities:

**

TheProject Manager receives customers RFQs and quickly analyzes all aspects necessary to manufacture the part(s) to customer specs and requirements. The team member is the main point of contact for designated customers and reviews margin on existing orders upon receipt and works with Customer Service and Production Scheduler to proactively communicate and exceed customer expectations. The Project Manager assists in the management of the RFQ queue, ensures quotes are submitted in a timely manner, and that the quotes comply with all requirements submitted by our customer.

This position is multi-faceted, and the skill sets needed include technical know-how, leadership skills and interpersonal intelligence.

The Project Manager position reports to the President and works closely with all team members.

• Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, labor expenses, 3rd party processes and delivery dates.

• Read and fully understand blueprints, technical documents, drawings, material requirements in the preparation of estimates and quotations.

• Collaborate with machinists, materials specialists, and quality on any changes and adjustments to cost estimates that will improve efficiency, profitability and while maintaining quality.

• Communicate and consult with customers, vendors & team members to discuss and formulate accurate estimates and resolve issues.

• Prepare and evaluate a product’s cost-effectiveness or profitability according to set goals.

• Work with Sales Manager to prepare estimates and timelines.

• Maintains and motivates team to keep a strong customer focus in all areas of responsibilities.

**Capabilities and Success Factors

**

• Prefer at least 5 years of experience estimating for precision machining with demonstrated ability to win bids at established profit margins.

• Demonstrated process knowledge of CNC, milling, turning, grinding, gear shaping, weldments, assembly, secondary processes such as heat-treat, plating, etc.

• Strong customer service skills in a manufacturing environment.

• Full Knowledge and experience with materials such as, steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and cast iron castings.

• Thorough knowledge of GD&T and the ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and solid models

• Strong analytical skills, communication skills, resolution skills, organizational skills.

• Strong manufacturing knowledge and experience.

• Experience with ISO 9001 requirements and processes

• Expert computer skills Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word), Global Shop
