Sales Consultant Specializing in HVAC Equipment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus on selling our HVAC Products (Air Handling, Energy Recovery, Coils, and Vibration Isolation and Noise Control) products in Indiana with support from the Engineered Products team.
  • Network through multiple channels to qualify, develop and win sales opportunities.
  • Support Contractors, Engineering Firms and Owners with your expertise on our HVAC Products. Collaborate with the sales team to win projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients through regular communication, follow-ups, and sharing expertise with contractors, engineers and owners.
  • Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions that meet their specific requirements.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, product developments, and market competition to effectively position our offerings.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, providing detailed product information, pricing, and applications.
  • Generate and process technical submittals.
  • Provide in-field technical support.
  • Document and execute a sales action plan under guidance from the sales leadership team.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to overall company growth.


We are looking for a candidate who has:

  • Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of HVAC systems, including components, functions, and energy efficiency. The ability to provide informed recommendations and solutions.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Being able to communicate complex technical information clearly and persuasively. Easily builds rapport with clients and ensuring they understand product benefits.
  • Strong Sales Skills: Proficiency in sales techniques, negotiation, and closing strategies is essential.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: A focus on understanding clients’ needs and offering tailored solutions to build trust and long-term relationships.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: The ability to assess client challenges and propose effective solutions. This demonstrates value and enhances client satisfaction.
  • Persistence and Resilience: Sales can be challenging, and a successful rep must be persistent in pursuing leads and resilient in the face of rejection.
  • Industry Knowledge: Staying informed about market trends, competitors, and new technologies in the HVAC industry allows reps to position their products effectively.
  • Networking Skills: Building a strong network of contacts within the industry can lead to referrals and new business opportunities.
  • Time Management: Effective organization and time management skills help reps manage their schedules, follow-ups, and administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing market conditions, customer demands, and new technologies is crucial in the ever-evolving HVAC industry.
  • Presentation Skills: Being able to present products and solutions convincingly, whether in person or in a virtual setting, enhances the rep's ability to engage customers.
  • Teamwork and Entrepreneurial Spirit: Work within the team to add and develop expertise while executing strategy. Having an ownership mindset is required!


In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales of HVAC products and solutions, building relationships with clients, and providing expert guidance on product offerings.
