Job purpose
The Cash Application manager oversees the day-to-day operations of a cash applications department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of incoming customer payments by managing the application of funds to customer accounts, resolving payment discrepancies, reconciling bank statements, and optimizing cash flow management within an organization, often utilizing specialized software to streamline the process; they also monitor team performance and identify areas for improvement to maintain financial accuracy and compliance
Duties and responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently apply all incoming payments
- Develop, implement, and document cash application processes, policies and procedures to minimize delinquency and create efficiencies
- De-escalate any misapplications as needed
- Generate reporting on incoming payments and payment trends
- Assist in implementing automation tools
- Collaborate with collections team as needed to meet weekly and monthly goals
*Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- NetSuite experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills.
- Detail oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills.
- Team player who strives to achieve department goals.
- Solid communication skills and positive attitude.
- Quick learner and consistent in meeting deadlines.
- Excellent prioritizing skills and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook office 365.
Work Conditions/Physical Requirements
Primarily an office environment. Noise level is low. Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed is required.
Compensation details: 71000-90000 Yearly Salary
