Kett Engineering, established in 1953, a leader in the automotive testing industry is in need of Test Drivers on the 2nd shift to work at a customer proving ground just outside of Surprise, AZ in Wittman, AZ.
Shift Details:
Pay Rate: $16.50/hr
Goal Shift Availability: Scheduling is focused on 3-4/4-3 (3 days on/4 days off/4 days on/3 days off) unless we have a volume of fleet
* If anything breaks or becomes defective in the vehicles, it could pause the test and shifts will go on hold. *

Description: The test driver will operate technically advanced pre-production vehicles as part of a team on public roads while performing a full vehicle evaluation for each drive cycle. The test driver will be responsible for identifying any issues in relation to the powertrain, quality of build, functionality and design of vehicle systems, and any other vehicle related items on a predetermined designated route.
Assignment details and Responsibilities:
- Mileage Accumulation, Part-time project-based position
- Route consists of on the road driving in the Phoenix Valley between 303, I-10, I-17 and Arrowhead locations with some roads through I-10 West through Buckeye and through Sun Valley Parkway Buckeye.
- Routes are approx. 300 miles and 7-8.5 hours.
- Complete a full vehicle evaluation and complete a clear and concise report and any other records for each vehicle during assigned shift.
- Participate in all vehicle testing including but not limited to driving and designated special tests.
- Attention to detail and able to document findings.
- Operate vehicles in an extremely safe manner, obeying all laws of the road.
- Maintain safety and security procedures.
- Must be comfortable driving in inclement weather.
- Must be comfortable with driving on highways and dirt roads.
- Accurately communicate detailed findings verbally and legibly write detailed findings on reporting forms.
- Follow directions and execute tasks.
- Be reliable and maintain good attendance.
- Complete required trainings.
- Have a positive attitude and ability to contribute in a team environment.
*Project will be relocating from Ford Proving Grounds to Toyota Proving Grounds on or near May 1st

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid Arizona driver's license for a minimum of 4 years. Have no points, no major traffic citations, and/or accidents for the past three years. No DUI or DWAI.
- Able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screening, read maps, lift at least 25 pounds, and be able to travel outside of state limits.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Ability to drive for prolonged periods of time.
- Accurately communicate detailed findings verbally and legibly write detailed findings on reporting forms.
- Follow directions and execute tasks. Be reliable and maintain good attendance.
- Complete required trainings.
- Have a positive attitude and ability to contribute in a team environment.
