Kett Engineering is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at an automotive testing site in Maricopa, AZ
Role Summary:
Under the direction of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, performs routine facility maintenance tasks and duties, occasionally requiring assistance with new or unusual situations. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, as well as performing drywall repairs and painting to ensure optimal operation and visual appeal of our facility. Requires familiarity with construction techniques as well as safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as lubricating parts, changing filters and replacing worn-out components
- Service and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems
- Perform drywall repairs and painting projects as needed
- Help with inventory of repair equipment and supplies
- Work from ladders, lifts, elevated places as required
- Keep equipment, maintenance shop and job sites clean and in orderly condition
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from building occupants and management using a CMMS system
- Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation using CMMS system
Submit requisitions for repair / replacement parts as necessary using CMMS system
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Work in accordance with all OSHA safety policies and procedures
- Work outdoors exposed to local weather and heat during summer months as required by tasks or projects

Requirements:
- Education- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Skills/Experience- Minimum 4 years of relevant work related experience preferred
- General mechanical knowledge including pump and piping repair, basic electrical, HVAC, Fork
lifts, skid-steer, etc.
- Experience in drywall repairs and painting
- Ability to read prints, schematics, manuals, etc.
- Must be able to pass all OSHA Training
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems is desirable
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Job requires sitting, standing, and bending throughout the course of a workday
- Must be flexible and available to work overtime and odd hours including Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays
- Work may be done under the summer months in Arizona weather
- Work tasks may take place outdoors, must be able to work outside in hot inclement
temperatures
- Ability to pass Drug Screen and Physical required

Work Flexibility:
- Work schedule based on business requirements (minimum 40 hours/week) including occasional Saturday and occasional overtime. Core work hours are 7am – 4pm
- Often driving a motor vehicle, including performance class and prototypes, which may require completion of special training
