Role Summary:
the vehicle engineering operations Technician is responsible for supporting operations and maintenance of vehicle testing facilities. This role includes daily operations support and customer coordination, with a strong focus on continuous improvement of testing and maintenance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Support the installation and commissioning of new testing facilities.
- Develop, document, and implement testing and maintenance procedures in compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements.
- Install instrumentation, test equipment, and other components on prototype vehicles in accordance with engineering specifications, standards, and/or test procedures.
- Provide operational support.
- Plan and execute preventative maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of automotive testing experience; Experience with operating and maintaining climate chambers and chassis dynamometer facilities preferred.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
- Fabrication experience
- A proven track record of problem solving an independent root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to produce clear, organized, and timely documentation.
- Team oriented mindset.
- Strong interest in automotive technology.
- Ability to work independently.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass criminal background screening, drug test, employment verification, and education verification.
- Have a valid California driver's license.
- Clean driving record with no at fault accidents or moving violations in the past three years and no DUI in the past 10 years.
- Authorized to work in the US.
