Kett Engineering, established in 1953, a leader in the automotive testing industry is in need of a Vehicle Test Technician on the 1st shift to work at a customer proving ground in Yucca, AZ.
Job Summary:
- As part of a project team, the Vehicle Test Technician will use their skills to setup, conduct, and assist in the analysis of a vehicle test to ensure data is meeting design specifications established by customers. Assist engineers in determining the practicality of proposed product design changes and carry out tests for performance, durability, or efficiency
- Perform manual trigger stops
- Diagnosis of instrumentation issues such as Torque Wheels, Dump Valves, DC Tachs, etc.
- Use and review RevData Plus
- Proper usage of rubbing/embedded TC's
- Export test data to Excel/CSV
Job Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED with technical curriculum with 3 years relevant work experience in an automotive or component testing or performance Test Driver or proven experience in the above job duties/equivalent related work experience
- Associate of Science in Engineering Technology or a related field (preferred)
- Completed coursework in digital electronics, circuit functions and basic electronics (helpful)
- Understanding of basic and analog temperate controls
- Understand where different data averaging comes from and reasoning
- Clean Driver's License

- Analytical, observant, patient and communicative to handle the precise nature of the work
- Knowledge of different trigger configuration files & how they function
Other:
- Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends (as needed)
- Will involve hands-on work with tools and testing equipment
- Physical activity will include lifting (up to 50lbs.), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
