Responsibilities & Requirements
The faculty member’s role is to facilitate effective learning in online and on ground courses for Kettering College Health Science and Kettering Path students.
Responsibilities
Faculty are responsible for effective instruction of students, organization of course learning materials in a manner that facilitates student learning, student evaluation, communication of student progress, and grades in a timely fashion. Specific responsibilities include:
- Provision of a course syllabus in accordance with the College’s Syllabus Standardization format.
- Progression of learning outcomes and objectives in an organized and logical fashion aimed toward fulfillment of course outcomes.
- Design and implementation of teaching strategies/learning opportunities in accordance with the curriculum framework, which help students fulfill the course outcomes.
- Supervision of guest lecturers if applicable, such that course outcomes can be fulfilled.
- Assistance and/or referral to students who need additional support for their learning.
- Knowledge of and adherence to health science curriculum plan, if applicable.
- Timely feedback to students regarding assignments, quizzes, exams, and other learning activities.
- Communication and submission of student grades in accordance with department and College policies and procedures.
Faculty will:
Education
- Master’s degree required from an approved and accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate preferred.
- Teaching experience preferred.
