- Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare insurance billing, to include Medicare/Medicaid/Tricare and third party insurers, as well as general ICD-10 and CPT coding.
- Minimum 3 years previous experience PFS PB Billing required
- Ability to communicate accurately, clearly and effectively both orally as well as written
- Demonstrates knowledge of and compliance of all up to date applicable billing, regulatory and team policies, procedures, workflows and financial obligations
- Ability to identify accounts which may have potential reimbursement problems and follow through with appropriate corrective actions to minimize any financial losses to the Network
- Demonstrates strong analytical skills that uphold the relationship between the physician/provider
- Demonstrates strong goal orientation and work productivity in line with the Key Performance indicators(metrics) set for the individual, team and Network outcomes
- Ability to manage time effectively prioritizing multiple demands and completing work assignments within guidelines
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions as well as learns and apply new procedures quickly and accurately, including the use of new technology
Under the general supervision of the Patient Account Manager, the Patient Accounts Coordinator is responsible for oversight of various functions for professional services that may include, but not limited to: charge capture, billing, follow-up, denials in the Patient Financial Services department in compliance with federal and/or state regulations.
This position is responsible for investigating and replying, as appropriate, to all PB Liaison Mailbox inquiries.
