Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Security Professional to join our team at Kettering Health. As a key member of our security department, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas to prevent crime and ensure compliance with laws and regulations
- Respond to emergency calls and complaints, interviewing witnesses and suspects as necessary
- Maintain visibility to deter criminal activity and establish trust with the community
- Collaborate with medical staff to resolve disputes and provide support as needed
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid Ohio driver's license
- Completion of an Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission police academy within three months of application
- The ability to obtain an Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission certificate upon hire
- The ability to acquire and maintain a Secretary of State Police Commission (granted by KHN PD) certification
- The ability to successfully complete annual OPOTA firearms qualification courses
- CPR certification upon hire
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, and laws related to public safety in a healthcare setting
- Experience working in law enforcement or a related field
