- Supervision of all staff within the sleep center.
- Assessing equipment functionality, availability of new or improved equipment on the market, evaluation of such equipment and recommendation for purchase when appropriate.
- Scheduling of technicians, knowledge of specific patient issues (handicap issues, language issues) to assure that staffing and equipment are appropriate when patients arrive.
- On-call for technical problems that occur during patient sleep evaluations.
- Responsibility for laboratory quality control measures : input into selection of measures, collection of data, analysis of data, and reporting. Responsibility for sleep record cross scoring as a part of QA.
- Responsibility for maintaining up to date laboratory policies and procedures in the Sycamore Center; responsibility for determining that all policies and procedures are being followed on a daily basis.
- Responsibility for contact with DME companies : evaluation of appropriate submission of DME requests; evaluation of appropriate DME response to requests; evaluation of patient experience with DME companies.
- Preparation for and response to periodic hospital safety and other inspections.
- Monitor sleep study mix and scheduling to determine insurance precertification requirements and changes; relay changes on a timely basis to assure maximal use of sleep facility.

- Completion of High School or equivalent at minimum
- Active Registered Polysomnograph Technologist (RPSGT) credential is required.
- Technologist must have a current BLS certificate although it may be attained after hire.Preferred Qualifications
