REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, communications or an equivalent client-focused environment
- Demonstrated skills in writing, organization, and attention to detail
- Strong prior experience writing correspondence or copy
- Prior experience with donor databases and prospect tracking systems
- Prior experience working in a staff
- Prior experience with cultivation and recognition events

Duties
- Work with university advancement team to develop and implement stewardship strategies that strengthen long-term relationships with major donors and prospective donors to Kettering University
- Organize and actualize a fiscal year stewardship calendar, informing alumni and donors of programs and press at the university that includes print and e-communications
- Ensure that details of stewardship plans are compiled and communicated to all involved parties, and that the plan is documented, implemented and included in the banner advancement and Fund Performance Management (FPM) system
- Write personal acknowledgment and stewardship communication (including letters) for signature by university leadership, board members, and key volunteers
- Work in partnership with university advancement to identify and develop recognition opportunities
- Attend stewardship and cultivation events as needed
- As needed, plan, manage and execute meetings that advance donor involvement, cultivation and stewardship for major gifts
