Job Summary
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
This position is responsible for helping the Packaging Lead/Supervisor complete the daily production requirements per business needs. Under the direction of the Packaging Supervisor, the Level I Operator will be responsible for maintaining continuous flow of product through the packaging department for Finished Goods per OSHA safety guidelines while adhering to all Customer Product Specifications, Good Manufacturing Practices, and all USDA/FDA-HACCP standards and requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Adhering to Food Safety, Sanitation, GMPs and USDA requirements
Adhering to HACCP
Able to read, comprehend and adhere to all Safety procedures
Able to read and comprehend OPLs, SOPs work instructions and labels
Hand Forming Finished Good Cases, Retail Bases, Lids
Hand Packing, Cupping, Lidding, Sleeve Application and Taping of semi-finished goods
Manual Label Application
Manual Palletizing Finished Good Cases
Manual Pallet Jack Operation and Safety
Safety, Quality, Operation, Centerline and Change-over execution on all Retail Label Application equipment (including code dating)
Safety, Quality, Operation, Centerline and Change-over execution on Delkor Case Packaging equipment
Safety, Quality, Operation, Centerline and Change-over execution on two other groups of Retail packaging equipment
Liders
Case Erectors/Closers
Hartness
Ability to execute all required packaging quality checks and HACCP paperwork
Other manual duties as assigned: spiral loader, spiral exit, lowerator, etc.
Sanitation of all equipment in the Packaging Area

Pay Range for Packaging OP1 - 1st shift
The Packaging OP1 - 1st shift base pay range $16.50 USD/hourly. The listed salary range represents Kettle Cuisines good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum for new hire salaries for the Lynn, MA location only. Ranges will be reviewed on a regular basis. An employees rate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. The Packaging OP1 - 1st shift position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package and is eligible for the annual discretionary bonus program up to 5%. Kettle Cuisine and all its legal entities comply with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
