Job Summary
To ensure continuous and efficient operation of the production line to meet customer requirements in accordance with Safety, Sanitation, Quality, Quantity and Cost. (SSQQC)

Duties and Responsibilities
- Always adhere to safe working practices
- Perform daily checks of area for non-compliance and report them to your supervisor
- Ensure finished product conforms to specifications
- Manufacture quality products efficiently within time and quantity parameters
- Accurate and timely completion of required documentation to enable clear traceability
- Follow the company GMP’s
- Show a positive attitude and a leadership mentality for all employees
- Always ensure clean and tidy production area
- Ensure removal of out of spec material from the production line
- Check that operators are performing seal, weight, and distributions checks
- Be able to operate all machinery in the room and fill in for operators when necessary (as a working supervisor)
- Plan all activities to reduce downtime
- Report Downtime to maintenance in a timely manner
- Communicate and update all relevant parties of any issues or changes (low yields, etc.)
- Monitor and action all waste
- Manage ERP system transactions
- Conduct weekly team briefs with direct reports
- Any other tasks deemed reasonable and requested by management
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and motivate team to meet and exceed daily targets and deadlines i.e., UPMH, GPMH
- Plan schedules ahead of time to ensure coverage and reduce downtime
- Clear communication with team members, other supervisors, managers across all shifts
- Pass clear and detailed communication to the supervisor or lead on the next shift at shift handover
- Manage day to day employee interaction
- Manage employees work schedules, breaks and tardiness
- Conduct daily team briefings with direct reports
- Take active lead with new employees and temporary labor
- Coach and train employees to help them achieve next level success
- Encourage colleagues to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement and 5S
- Follow HACCP plan – responsible for ensuring area CCP is met for all soups
- Ensure all paperwork is filled out neatly and correctly and signed off
- Take responsibility for their paperwork and that it gets to QA completed
- Accurate and timely completion of required documentation to enable clear traceability
- Challenge any area in which they see an opportunity for improvement or a problem that can be solved
Desired Skills
- 2 years manufacturing experience preferably in the food industry
- Goal oriented & well organized
- Ability to work all scheduled shifts, on time
- Excellent interpersonal skills needed for working in a team environment
- Proven record of accomplishment in safe working practices
- Experience working in temperature-controlled settings
- Experience with perishable items
- Experience with Kettle Cuisine ingredients and soups

Pay Range for Packing Supervisor - 3rd shift
The Packing Supervisor - 3rd shift base pay range $27-32 USD/hourly. The listed salary range represents Kettle Cuisine’s good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum for new hire salaries for the Lynn, MA location only. Ranges will be reviewed on a regular basis. An employee’s rate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. The Packing Supervisor - 3rd shift position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package and is eligible for the annual discretionary bonus program up to 10%. Kettle Cuisine and all its legal entities comply with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
