40,000 - $50, 000 / year depending on experience
POSITION SUMMARY :
Under the direction of the Aquatics Director provide general oversight and safety of members and guests at the Kettle Moraine YMCA aquatic facilities. Provide general oversight for pool decks, aquatic facilities and swimming pools.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Provide direct oversight of daily pool operations.
- Enforcing safety rules, supervising / protecting guests / swimmers, rendering first aid / emergency care and monitor lifeguard performance expectations.
- Work with the Aquatics Director to oversee the scheduling of employees
- Monitor and maintain oversight for operating equipment including First Aid kits
- Keeps record of aquatics staff certifications and ensure all staff maintain current certifications
- Provide general oversight to assure and achieve consistent operating practices
- Perform oversight of daily facility maintenance and sanitation duties to provide and maintain a safe and aesthetically inviting aquatic facility for guests / swimmers
- Plan, schedule and conduct in-service training for Aquatics staff.
- Develop, implement, and monitor programming and schedules for Aquatics operations
- Clearly describe and assign responsibility and authority for the operation of the department.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

1. Bloodborne Pathogens / Child Abuse Prevention every year
2. American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification every two years
