Position Summary

The Supply Chain Planning Analyst will provide strategic and analytical support to the Director of Supply Chain Planning in optimizing production planning, inventory management, and demand forecasting. This role is essential in ensuring seamless and data-driven supply chain processes by analyzing data, developing advanced forecasting models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:


  • Assist in demand planning by analyzing historical sales trends, market conditions, and customer demand.
  • Support production planning by ensuring accurate, data-backed and proactive scheduling of manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain and improve inventory tracking processes, ensuring optimal stock levels across locations.
  • Develop and maintain dynamic forecasting models to support proactive supply chain decision-making.
  • Work with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) to optimize real-time data management and reporting.
  • Prepare detailed reports and dashboards on key supply chain metrics.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to ensure seamless material flow.
  • Identify inefficiencies in supply chain processes and recommend data-driven, scalable improvements.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives aimed at enhancing planning capabilities and operational agility.

  • Increased forecast accuracy to enhance production and inventory planning.
  • Optimized inventory levels, reducing carrying costs while maintaining service levels.
  • Efficient data analysis and reporting to drive decision-making.
  • Strengthened collaboration between supply chain, operations, and sales teams.
  • Implemented continuous process improvements leading to cost savings and supply chain efficiency.


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and abilities)

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, or inventory management.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics) and advanced data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in Excel, Google Sheets, and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
  • Experience in the food or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry is highly preferred.
