CNC MACHINIST 2/3
Machinist is responsible for supporting machine setup, production, and troubleshooting of new product. These components use a variety of materials and have tightly controlled dimensional and surface finish requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare mill machines for operations ensuring proper tooling, fixtures and cutting parameters are set up
- Complete machining operations from blueprints, drawings, and/or CAD designs.
- Maintain specifications by working with complex, tight tolerance parts and various materials
- Provide feedback and support to Production Engineers to optimize machining sequences and process
- Optimize machining sequences and maintain comprehensive documentation.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Mid-level Position (experience on Mill preferred)
- Experience with machining different materials (e.g. aluminum, stainless, titanium, plastics etc)
manual programming capabilities for trouble shooting a plus
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Low Volume/High Mix, and High Volume/Low Mix
- Ability to read blueprints
- Eagerness to learn machining properties of materials such as stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, and various plastics.
- Ability to deal with frequent changes or delays with fast-paced production.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted, repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting, exposure to typical manufacturing chemicals (coolant, solvents, cleaners) are generally required to perform the functions of this position
