Keuka College seeks a custodian who maintains high standards of cleanliness and sanitation on campus. This role requires attention to detail, time management skills, and teamwork abilities. The custodian plays a crucial role in creating a clean and welcoming environment for employees, students, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize assigned buildings.
- Maintain supply closets and ensure cleaning supplies are stocked.
- Clean bathrooms, kitchens, hallways, classrooms, offices, living spaces, and common areas.
- Perform restorative work on floors such as vacuuming, mopping, buffing, stripping, and waxing.
- Pick up and empty trash containers.
- Report safety or maintenance deficiencies to the lead custodian or facilities manager.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Lifting, bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Operating tools or equipment used in routine cleaning.
- Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
