Reports To : The Department of Student Life
Position Type : Part-time, 10 month (August 1, 2025 - May 31, 2026)
Standard Hours : Variable - not to exceed 29 hours per week
Summary :
The Graduate Assistant plays an integral role in shaping the experience of all students and will assist in developing a premier student experience that supports the mission and values of Keuka College within the Department of Student Life. We have four positions available with rotating responsibility in both Inclusion and Belonging and Campus Life. On-campus residency is required for each position. Essential Responsibilities :
- General Responsibilities
- Provide programming initiatives to build campus community.
- Assist with student leader hiring.
- Provide administrative support for the Department of Student Life, assisting in the day-to-day operations of programs, holding office hours, and professional development opportunities.
- Attend meetings, provided / necessary training (including the Core Competency training series & workshops) programs, and events as required.
- Perform other functions as assigned by management.
- Assist with New Student Orientation (both Fall and Spring).
- Execute and attend Campus Activities Board Events.
- Serve in an on-call duty rotation.
- The Office of Campus Life
- Reports directly to the Director of Campus Life.
- Supervise a Residence Hall or apartment complex, including the supervision of a Resident Assistant Staff or peer leader team, and assist the professional staff to provide a safe, secure, and educational on-campus living community.
- Aid implementation of housing selection process.
- Support the planning, coordination, and assessment of programs sponsored by the Office of Campus Life, including fall / spring RA training.
- The Office of Inclusion & Belonging
- Reports directly to the Director of Inclusion & Belonging.
- Support the work of the Inclusion & Belonging staff with marketing, staff meetings, programs, heritage week / month celebrations, and daily operations.
- Support excursion and shopping trips sponsored by the office to assist in meeting students' transportation needs.
- Support international student orientation and offer programming and excursion opportunities for international students.
- Support the work of student directors and interfaith facilitators by assisting in program development and implementation and by attending their programs.
- Assist in the coordination, evaluation, and assessment of new initiatives of the Office of Inclusion & Belonging.
- Support the campus food pantry, meditation room, and the Honoring Unity and Belonging room (HUB).
