Summary:
The Admissions Summer Assistant will support the Admissions Office from May to September 2025, earning $15.50 per hour. This role involves assisting with daily operations, leading campus tours, and engaging with prospective students and their families. Responsibilities will be tailored to each assistant's individual strengths and interests, focusing on skill development in marketing, public relations, teamwork, and communication. This role provides an opportunity to apply personal Keuka College experiences to help meet admissions goals and foster meaningful connections with prospective students and families. As a condition of employment, the Admissions Summer Assistant is required to reside on campus for the duration of their employment; housing is provided at no cost.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Learn the Admissions CRM system, perform data entry, support staff in daily tasks, prepare mailings, and make phone calls.
- Conduct campus tours following the tour manual (provided upon hire), completion of tour certification.
- Provide support for weekday/weekend visits and special admissions events (dates provided upon hire).
- Ensure all tasks comply with institutional and regulatory standards.
- Uphold a professional, courteous, and positive demeanor in all interactions, representing Keuka College, its values, and policies.
- Attend required training and meetings to enhance effectiveness in the role.
- Reliable attendance is expected.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current Keuka College student in the traditional on-campus undergraduate/graduate program.
- Must be in good academic and disciplinary standing with the College.
- Detail-oriented, able to follow instructions, and complete tasks efficiently.
- Responsible, team-oriented, flexible, and a positive representative of Keuka College.
- Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work under pressure, adapt to various tasks, and handle interruptions.
- Comfortable working with diverse groups and sensitive to the needs of students, faculty, staff, and the public.
- Professional attire required (dress code provided upon hire).
- Occasional evening and weekend hours required.
Physical Requirements:
- Extended walking for campus tours.
- Ability to lift items up to 25 pounds occasionally.
