Keuka Spring Vineyards is a premier winery located in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region known for our exceptional wines and commitment to providing a memorable guest experience. We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Host to join our team and be the first point of contact for our valued visitors.

As a Host at Keuka Spring Vineyards, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere, ensuring every guest feels valued and well-cared for from the moment they arrive. You will be responsible for managing guest flow, providing information about our wines and winery, and assisting with various aspects of the tasting room and guest experience.

Responsibilities:

• Guest Reception and Welcome:
• Warmly greet all arriving guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Escort guests to appropriate areas, such as the tasting bar, seated tasting areas, patio, or event spaces.
• Manage the guest waiting list efficiently and provide accurate wait time estimates.
• Offer initial information about the winery, our history, and the tasting options available.
• Reservation Management:
• Answer phone calls and respond to online inquiries regarding reservations, tours, and events.
• Accurately record and manage reservations using our booking system.
• Confirm reservations and communicate any necessary details to guests.
• Assist with seating arrangements and accommodate special requests when possible.
• Tasting Room Support:
• Assist in setting up and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming tasting room environment.
• Provide support to the Tasting Room Associates as needed, such as clearing glasses or restocking supplies.
• Have an understanding of our wine offerings to answer initial guest questions and direct more detailed inquiries to the Tasting Room Associates.
• Guest Experience:
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest inquiries and concerns with courtesy and efficiency.
• Offer general information about the local area and other attractions.
• Maintain a positive and approachable attitude, contributing to a pleasant guest experience.
• Assist with guest departures and thank them for their visit.
• Administrative Tasks:
• Assist with opening and closing procedures for the tasting room.
• Maintain accurate visitor counts and other relevant data.
• Communicate effectively with other winery team members regarding guest needs and information.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer service, hospitality, or host role is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Tock reservation systems (preferred).
• A passion for wine and the winery experience (willingness to learn is essential).
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
